You can do cheaper.

Get this combo deal, i7 920 and asus P6T deluxe V2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.309264

And this power supply:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006

And this video card:

This RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231328

Edit: including the HD and case you picked, comes to about 1470

The heat sink depends on how much you want to spend.

This is a good one for around 30:
Newegg.com - Sunbeam CR-CCTF92-4 92mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler W/TX-2 - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

Better one for about 45.
Newegg.com - XIGMATEK Intel Core i7 compatible Dark Knight-S1283V 120mm Long Life Bearing CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

Make sure you buy thermal paste such as MX-2 or TX-2.
Or make sure the heatsink you buy includes it.

You didn't say what you wanted this computer for. If you want this for video games, then yes, definitely get the 5870 ste picked out for you, its a monster of a card!! If you're a light gamer however, you may pick something less powerful and less expensive.

To utilize triple channel memory, you should get a 2 X 3GB kit = 6gb which is more than enough for most tasks. Depends what you want to do with the computer i guess. But keep in mind to use multiples of 3 for this board to utilize triple channel.
