Want to upgrade to dx10 card...should I upgrade anything?

I want to go to a dx10 video card with vista....I just want to know if I need to upgrade anything else with it to make it run with full power. I currently have....

asustek limestone
2 g's ram
Intel pentium D 2.80GHz
barracuda 7200.8

Got any suggestions?

Hey ShifterControl

With a nice DX10 card, your CPU will probably be bottlenecking it. Meaning the DX10 card, won't be running at it's full potential. So if possible, sell that Pentium D and motherboard, and get something like a Abit IP35-E and Intel Dual Core E2180. Then just overclock the E2180, and you'll decrease the bottleneck. You might also have to upgrade your power supply.

For the DX10 card, either the HD 2900Pro or 8800GTS 320, which are in the $250-280 range.
