Default Voice Controlled TV Remote?

I'm looking at the following link

How to make a voice-controlled robot arm for $55 | ExtremeTech

and im thinking we're getting much more closer to a star trek comm system. Yell out a identifier command, in Star Trek's case "Computer", then say the command and have the computer take action. The link above describes a lot of what to do to complete that system. I'm thinking if someone has google tv or apple tv, those software may provide the apis to allow someone to control the device by voice. Voice Training maybe a major pain tho.
