Default Vista and Dx 10 on my system?

I am currently running, Pentium 4 3.00Ghz processor, 2GB RAM, 500w power supply, and a 6600GT AGP graphics card. I am worried about this whole new microsoft vista thing, i am currently on XP home edition, will i be able to upgrade to vista premium? Or will i hav to purchase whole package and install it? Also i understand i can only use dx10 if i have vista, will vista and dx10 work if i am using my 6600GT still? Or do i HAVE to buy a special graphics card? I would be hugely greatfull if somebody could put me at rest here, thanks a load.

well.. t my knowlege... that card will be ok.. like barley ok for vista... but if i were you idd wait a lil to get vista becuase its bound to have some bugs... ... and i dont think you can upgrade unless you recently bought that rig from liek a big company and i doubt that bc of the agp card in it .....
