what do ya think? at 5,567.99 australian dollars + $300.00 AUD markoff due to coupon.

im no pro... but from what ive heard.. Alienware isnt worth it. i was gonna buy a prebuilt but i am so happy i didnt.. like i said im only going by what ive heard.. and ive heard that SLI isnt really worth it. The 7800GTX is more than enough.. by getting 2, your not really doubling performance.. its like a 30% increase from 1 card to SLI. maybe someone more knowledgeable could help you out also

You can build that for cheaper than $5k

thats exactly what i was thinking but i didnt say it because i wasnt sure. i just ordered parts for my new pc.. it costed me $800.. mine is not going to be as good as yours.. but yours will not be over $4,000 better. know what i mean? its just not worth it. even if your worried about building it yourself.. theres plenty of really great people here that can guide you through the steps

Hey did it cost you 800 with shipping and tax included? Cuz I was hoping to get in the $800s or low 900s, but I totaled it yesterday and tax+shipping was killer :( Did you get a case and PSU?

yea its australian dollar, and also dual core gaming, is it worth it? or just go get a single better processor

well from new egg there is no tax.. and total shipping was like 15 dollars.. no i didnt get the case or psu.. but the local stores near my house have really good cases so ill do that to avoid shipping costs. so total it will be somewhere aroung $870. you can check out my sig to check out the parts i got. newegg has a good deal for the evga 7800gt.. you can get a decent mobo with it for free
