Video Cards and DX10

So I was about to order all the parts to put togethder a new rig but while I have been poking around choosing parts and reading product reviews I find a lot of pople mentioning buying cards to hold then until the DX1-0 cards come out. DOes this mean if I get the 7600GT i have been -lanning on, then in several months with DX10 comes out my old card will not support the newer games requireing DX10?

Your 7600 will play evrey sing dx10 game there is.

In DX9 Mode


Basically it means you wont get all the eye candys of dx10, but you still get all the features of the game.

Really I think DX10 is pretty away so I wouldnt worry too much as of now.


when the time comes Il sell my 7900 GT for easy cash but right now im not really worring.

dx10 will come out when vista comes out, which wont come on out for a while, BUT the cards that will support dx10 will come out earlier. just will use dx9 until dx10 comes out, or so i think.

Search for our numerous topic on DX10 before posting. (not trying to be a pee-nus or anything. Just wait, DX10 isnt coming out for quite some time so your 7600 will be fine.
