Video Card Upgrade

What will i need for the DX10?
I'm just lokking for something that can run BF2 right now with highest settings, caz the 6600GT is haveing a hala hard time doing it. I'm not lokking for the best, i just want the BF2 to run smoothly.

If i get another 6600GT for 55$ from a friend, will that increase the preformance for now, and then later i can get the one with DX10.

getting another 6600GT for 55$ is a VERY good idea. it will probably bring it up to high settings or highest (not really sure)

Dual 6800GSes, for $310. Thats the only thing worth SLI'ing right now. It'll outperform a 7800GTX.

I'll just get 6600GT sli for now.

BF2 runs at high (online) with everything highest. 2-12FPS
i took a 7300 from school, it ran at 7-23FPS.
second best patch installed...

You're kidding me right? I get 30-40FPS on BF2 with all High settings, 1280x1024 resolution and 4xAA.

Yea well, this isn't your beast build either... CPU, HDD, are quite old.

But yea, would i check my FPS with like 3d mark?

you can check your FPS using Fraps, google it.

Its probably a good idea to keep the card and put the money towards something in the future. cos wen it comes to the point where youre gunna buy a 7900 or watever, you would sell the 6600GT on ebay or something, but having 2 of them is a lot harder to sell than the one. and you'd be saving too. so keep it. SLI is a waste unless you run resolutions at like 1900x1600
