Gabb, I didn't want to imply the 8800 isn't worth it; it's a monster performance-wise. I just wouldn't consider the DX10 support an argument in its favor, since a DX10 dominated game market is still far off in the horizon; the DX10 support is just a small added bonus right now. One considers an 8800 because of its brute power.

I agree Meithan.

The 8800 has the most power for sure. Thats is the reason to buy it now, the Direct x 10 support is just icing on the cake.

I just can't see any thing really using direct x 10 in the near is alttle ways off yet.

I figure by the time its here, then there should be a nice choice of cards for it....more of a selection if you will.
