Video card question

How does one overclock and unlock pipelines on a video card??

Say for instance I have a 7800GS how much can I overclock and how many pipelines can be unlocked??

doesn't doing this to the video card void its warrenty??

after overclocking and unlocking pipelines what kind of performance can I expect??

will it have 256MB or 512Mb of memory??

That will void your warrenty if you mess with the card, and try unlocking the multi. There is something called google, and extensive guides can be found on how to overclock video cards. You do not unlock multis on GPU, you raise the memory and core frequencies thorugh programs that allow you to do so.

1. to unlock pipes, you can use 2 things:
Rivatuner
a BIOS flash

2. a 7800 GS hasn't been released yet, so we don't know.

3. yes

4. depends on the card, and what you use it for.

5. depends on the card. only some X1800 cards and some 7800 GTX's have 512MB of memory. and you can't change the amount of memory a card has.
