Default Video Card question

I have a situation that I need help with.

I have 2 different computer setups and I am trying to figure out which video card configuation to stick with.

I have one system running a Geforce 8800 GTX and one running 2 Geforce 8800 GT (SLI).

For the best gaming performance which configuartion should I stick with?

I don't know. The 8800GTX probably performs on par or better than 8800GT SLI in many circumstances. It's usually better to have just one powerful card unless you are using 1920x1080 resolution and need the benefits of SLI.

You should probably invest in a new moniter, at least a 19' Widescreen, before anything else..

In that case, if you are just going with a 19" upgrade, keep the 8800GTX. If you are going with a 22" with 1680x1050 resolution or higher, I would possibly consider the 8800GT SLI setup. But like I said, it's better to have one powerful card over 2 in SLI because SLI does not always work the way you want it to.

the 8800GT SLI set-up is about 25-30% faster in most games. Simple as that...now you choose which you want to keep.
