Tied for 3rd, HD 2900XT is very similar to the 8800 GTS 640MB, but the 320MB version of the GTS is only slightly lower in performance than 640MB, but I'm starting to think games are going to require more memory than 256 or 320. I was playing the beta for World in Conflict and I thought it would be cool to see how much better my GTX will be than my 7600 GT while running the built in benchmark at the absolute max, and it said "VRAM overload: 35MB" (flucuated from 30-38MB) and that was on 256MB.

(btw I averaged 9 fps with my 7600 GT )

actually Supreme commander owns a GTS and a GTX even. Heck at max settings 1600 res, a GTX gets around 40 fps, a GTS around 25 fps. Anything below 32 fps makes me incredably unhappy...
