Default Video Card with Motherboard

Hi, I just bought a XFX GeForce 8800 Ultra 8800 768MB, but I'm not sure if this card will be compatible with my motherboard ABIT Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI, the card says it uses a DDR3 memory type and my motherboard uses a DDR2, please I need help, thank you.

abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI Mainboard Review (page 4) - X-bit labs

Your board has two pci-e 2.0 x16 slots meaning it could have two of those video cards.

The memory type on the video card doesn't matter. Your mobo just needs DDR2 for its normal RAM.

yea, like was said, the memory on the video card and mobo don't have to be the same.

but you also have to make sure that you have a powerful enough power supply to power that card.
