Video Card Fan?

How do i adjust the fan speed on my Radeon HD4890?

and also, what temperature should my radeon hd4890 be running at?

Catalyst Control Center I believe has a fan speed option. RivaTuner also has an option to adjust fan speed.

Depending on the ambient, your graphic card should idle around 40C and below (50 at most), and 60+ while on load.

Really? Wow, my 9800GT right now at idle with 45% speed is at 49*C. Or are those temps specifically for his card?

I thought you meant all gpu's in general.

I meant all GPUs in general. Your's is ok. It depends on the ambient temperature around the rig. Mine is idling at 48C right now, with the fan speed at 70%, and the ambient is around 30C. 50C is acceptable, but it could be better. But if it starts idling at 60C, then you gotta turn up the fan speed. Or turn the AC on.

And then again, some graphic cards just run hotter than others because of their power consumption, type of cooling, fabrication process, etc.

I've been wondering about getting a new heatsink for it, might have to start looking at them.
