Video Card Burnout

I was wondering that if my video card like "died" cease to function...would i only have to replace that or would i have to replace more than that?

Also could i theoretically move parts from a dell xps 400 to a different system??

if it is just ur gpu then thats the only thing u need to replace

how old is the system? and what parts do you want to move?

the system is about 2 1/2 years old. I would move the mobo, processor, harddrive, and possibly ram.

cpu hdd and ram you can move no problem. the mobo is most likely a Dell specific board so you'll have a hard time moving that without doing some mods to the new case.

is there a motherboard i could buy that would make things easier?

If i did that option would i have to find out what kind of ram, and proccessor i have?

for a second i thought u where making a thread about nossboost or veedubb. anyway your video card rarely takes another part with it when it dies, alltho if you power suply took out your gpu then your cpu mobo and ram could be fried. and you could move yoru system if you fidn another btx case.

Btx case?? same as an ATX?

no btx is a diferent mounting method, dell uses btx mother boards so you will need a btx case.
