SLI and CF scale very well in alot of benchies and games... you will find an SLI setup a sweet solution if you want a high end rig... but in most cases, a single GPU upgrade will be about the same price or cheaper and more effective across a wider range of situations than an SLI setup

I already bought a 680i SLI ready? I guess I jumped to fast. Should I just buy one good video card then?

The 680i is a very old board. I don't know why you got that. Did somebody recommend it to you or did you just like it the most?

Just some advice, next time do a little more research before you buy something. The 680i was a pretty decent board like 2 years ago. There are much better boards now. I would honestly try to return it if you can.

^^ yeah... if you want an SLI board for 2 way, go for the eVGA 750i FTW... if you really feel you need triple... the 780i model is the same board, but with 3 PCIe slots
