Video card

I'll probably be doing some gaming, along with CAD work. I'm thinking a 7600 or something. Any advice?

well its either one or the other....cant have excellent both..


Gaming 7900 GT. I own it and its flawless, excellent gaming card. Not the best CAD card in the world

CAD work Nvidas Quadro Series or ATI's FireGL series will tear up CAD, but unfortuantly wont be any gaming beast.


What ever is more Important to you.

But will a gaming card still be able to do some decent CAD? I don't plan on doing CAD for any serious manufacturing process, mostly just learning/small projects.

Ok, thank you. Will a 7600GT still be okay? I'm wondering if I need a 7900.

It all depends on your budget, if you can afford the 7900gt no doubt about it, get it.

But if you're a little tight the 7600gt will do wonders for you as well.
