Putting in an order for some hardware and trying to figure out which would be the better video card to get for a gaming rig.

Here are the choices I have narrowed it down to... $300 is my limit for the card.

EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP
Newegg.com - EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail

or
SAPPHIRE 100185L Radeon X1950XT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 VIVO HDCP
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100185L Radeon X1950XT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 VIVO HDCP Video Card - Retail

This was somewhat debated in a previous post of mine a few days ago but I settled on the Sapphire card and then my funding came through today and I have more than I thought I would to go a little more expensive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

still 8800 gts, it owns 1950xt it dx 9 benchmarks, and also dx 10 capable, but it is rumored dx 10 will be coming for xp

Just looking and I found this one;

EVGA 320-P2-N815-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP
Newegg.com - EVGA 320-P2-N815-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail

The only difference I see between the two is the core and memory clock are faster on this one.. Will that make a big difference?

well at that point choose the lowest priced one.... cuz u can easily use ATITool and overclock to the same point..... because the core and the memory clocks are veryoverclockable

considering that the 8800GTS is 80 bucks or so more than the X1950XT then I would hope it's better. However for the price ($180 after MIR) the X1950XT is quite powerful as well..it just all depends on your budget but If you can afford an 8800GTS 320 go for it.
