The 7900GT usually outperforms 7800GTX because it has higher clock and memory speed

7900GS and 7800GTX are comparable, but 7900GS runs cooler and it is more overclockable. So, between 7900GS and 7800GTX, I choose 7900GS

By the way you can get 7950GT for cheaper price than 7800GTX

Get a X1950XT for around 220 bucks...it will destroy a 700GS and also a 7950GT.

The GTX is a better card, but for the price I'd get the 7900gs.

Exactly, and besides for that price you could get the X1950XT.

Hit 800/1700 on my 7900gs after I did the pain in the *** 1.7v mod. A simple conductive pen mod that does 1.5v will get you to 700 on the core. Seems to higher the core goes the less overclockable the vram is. 7900gs FTW!

Nope, 7900 gs is way more overclockable. The 7900gs overclocked with some volt mods can beat a 7900 gtx.
