USB2.0 PCI cards a farce

I was just thinking. USB 2.0 transfers at a rate of 480Mb/s. A 32bit PCI slot transfers at a maximum rate of 133Mb/s. So therefore all those cards claiming to add USB 2.0 connectivity to your computer are misleadeding cause the fastest they will work is the maximum of the 32bit PCI slot which is 133Mb/s.

This applies of course unless using a 64 bit PCI slot in which you get a min of 533Mb/s

Turns out I'm wrong. USB 2.0 is 480Mb/s. 32bit PCI is 133 MB/s.

Mb=megabits, MB = megabytes. So PCI is still alot faster.

480Mb/s = 60MB/s which is well within the limits.
