usb ports on side of monitor?

ive connected stuff into the side usb ports on the side of my lcd monitor, but they dont power anything. wat do they do?

i would say you have to actually connect a usb cable to the monitor from the pc's usb ports first. there is no way for a usb device to interface with a pc via a monitor cable

Yeah, that's what mine has. You plug the USB cable that you got with the monitor into the computer, then into the monitor. Then you should be able to use the USB port.

basically its just a USB hub built into your monitor. I had one in my old iiyama.
