URGENT HD help.

hey i need some quick info on this HD cuz i'm hoping to order it tonight (less than 2 hours) before it goes on sale.

it says it uses perpendicular recording.

what's the difference?

i'm worried it might be for server comps or something,

sorry i didn't even think to ask my roomate. he basically just said it's newer technology. that "longitudial" (poor spelling ik) takes up more space on a disk.

so basically w/ perpindicular recording it uses up less space on a disk and therefore can fit more GB on the same size of disk.


sorry for posting a topic that i didn't need to. i'm retarded lol.
