Question Upgrading RAM help!!!

I have an asus p5n32 sli se deluxe. I have 1 x 1GB crucial ballistix in slot A2 and 1 x 1GB crucial ballistix in slot B2. Would I be able to put a pair of corsair 1GB ddr2 pc2 6400 sticks in the slots A1 and B1

You shouldn't mix and match vendors, just get another 2 gigs of the Ballistix.

You wouldn't want to mix like Blitersety said, but as long as the memory is the same type (IE- PC whatever, 6400, 5300, etc...) and the timings are generally the same then it won't be that big a deal... but read your mobo manual. It should tell you the placement regarding 4 sticks of Ram, and how you should pair it up.

plus their voltages maybe different... unless ur board has dual-channel mode.. higher voltage ram may fry the other

the voltage cant be that much different that it can fry something...

2gb is enough for home use and gaming, 3gb for hardcore gaming, and 4gb for large video/audio editing
