Default Upgrading from Phenom II

I had another thread up about getting an i7 motherboard but I got rid of my sound card so Microcenter had one i7 920 left and I couldn't pass it up, with that being said I need a motherboard that can do crossfirex at (x16,x16).

I think I am going to O.C. I also hav a budget off $300. They have this one at Microcenter Micro Center - X58 SLI 1366 ATX Motherboard

Thanks in advance everyone. Inked

i think all x58/i7 mobos that have 2 pcix16 slots will run at x16/x16.

but yea, that mobo is a good choice.

Is that one the best for the price vs others?

That board and the Asus p6t deluxe v2 are my two favorites in that price range. You will be happy with either.

Well I think I am going to get that EVGA board, but this motherboard has me really confused. Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD7 LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

When you look at the pictures they have a thing called "hybrid slientpipe" what is that?

How would that board do for mild O.C. and crossfire 4890's
