but if it were me i would still go with the 4850 just incase he wanted to play a gpu intense game he would all ready have a 4850, the card that can max out almost any thing. that's just me tho.

4830's can play gpu intensive games... and who ever said anything about playing future games on max? I don't believe that was ever the need or want.

Thanks for all the replies, this forum has always been really helpfull. Ill prob just go with the 4830. Im still debating the cpu tho. 70 bucks is quite a bit of saving if that cheaper cpu will still be ok. How much does the cpu even affect the gaming part? and i still just want to make sure my 500w psu will be ok.

between the e7300 and the e8500 you probably wont notice much diff in games.

f you won't get a E8400, then get a E5200, for $85. It can OC to like 3.5GHz no problem.
