Upgrading my PC (Graphics Card + monitor)

Well the time has come to upgrade my PC.

Im looking into a new graphics card and new monitor for that bigger picture


My budget for the two are around $550.

im thinking so far to get the GTx 280, from my 8800GTS and
im just about clueless on the monitor.

I have the 750i FTW mobo, so let me know if its compatible or not.


I would like a 22 inch or bigger to fit my budget, and if you think a different GPU would be adequate let me know.

ok, but compared to the GPU, im wanting to upgrade the rest of my system isnt that hot, but i have the PSU to accompany the upgrade


CPU: Intel Q6600
Motherboard: EVGA 750i FTW
Ram: DDR2 4GB 1066Mhz
CURRENT GPU: 8800GTS 512mb - (will be upgraded)
PSU: 750Watt power supply

Or you could get this which puts you just a bit over budget.

To be honest right now the best bang for your buck is the 4890 but if you love Nvidia cards both would be great choices.
