Default Upgrading my CPU. which one?

Newegg.com - AMD Opteron 165 Denmark 1.8GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor - Retail

Newegg.com - AMD Opteron 170 Denmark 2.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor - Retail

is the opteron 170 over the 165 worth the extra 20 dollars?

Well both are pretty much the same. I would say, go for the 165 and overclock it.

And with that extra $20 you're saving, maybe get an AF64 if you don't have one yet.

Thanks. I was thinking about buying a new fan, because alot of the reviews on newegg say the stock one that comes with the opt 165 is crap.
