Smile Upgrading BIOS on BFG Tech 680i SLI Mobo help

Well, I bought this Mobo for my system when I built it. I have never updated the BIOS. I believe I once tried in Windows, but there was some sort of error and it wouldn't do it. But now im having a few CPU Temp issues, and iv done everything possible to try and solve it, and I know now that BFG tech released a CPU temp fix for BIOS.
So my question is, do I need to find out what current BIOS my mobo has and then get the next release and go up the list of updates? Or just download the latest update and that will be it?

sorry, its kinda hard for me to explain.

Also im useing a Core 2 Duo CPU.

and another thing I noticed, my temp will say like 45C in Windows, and then I will restart, and go into BIOS and go to "System monitor" and it says 35C! whats the deal with that?

thanks !
