Upgrading from 8800gt

Just wondering, right now I see now problems with this card that has lasted me so long. But what would be a significant upgrade from the current card?

e8400
4gb DDr2 Ram


I know right now, gaming wise, the e8400 (at 4.0ghz) has no significant cpu upgrade.
Is there a new reigning must-have champ for the videocard?

You could see a nice enough performance increase by getting a 4890 or 5850 or 5870.

It really depends on how much money you have to spend.

You could use that to judge whether or not you're getting a decent enough upgrade. The 8800gt is ranked 28th. The 4890 is ranked 9th. So getting any of the cards i mentioned will be a nice upgrade. Like i said before, it depends on how much money you have. The rest of your system specs look good gaming-wise.
