Default Upgrading from an 8800 GTS

I am upgrading from an 8800 GTS (G92) in order to get better performance while running at 1680x1050 in higher end games (Crysis, Stalker: Clear Skies, CoD4, and Brothers in Arms) just to name a few. I am looking at 3 different options right now.

This is my current card, mine isn't refurbished though:
Newegg.com - Recertified: EVGA 512-P3-N841-RX GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Possible Upgrades:

260: Cheaper
Newegg.com - EVGA 896-P3-1260-AR GeForce GTX 260 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
260 216: More powerful, but not really breaking the bank.
Newegg.com - EVGA 896-P3-1267-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked Edition 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
280 Ownage: Can afford this, but not sure if it would be that big an improvement over the 260 216.
Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1284-AR GeForce GTX 280 SSC Edition 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Looking for some feedback, I haven't been keeping very good track of video card technology over the past few months. Please don't suggest ATI though.

If you don't want ATI then I would suggest the GTX 260 216 SP version

Newegg.com - EVGA 896-P3-1265-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

216 SP version and it is cheaper than the Superclocked version you posted

yea but superclocked cards are a rip-off, you can overclock to their settings in like 2 minutes...that $9 can go a long way

The core 216 is the best GTX 260, hands down.

And it takes a few minutes to oc your gpu with rivatuner.

i have the same 8800GTS G92, as opposed to a new graphics card i decided to SLI... since the GPU isnt out dated yet and you can get it at BSTOCK from EVGA for 100 bucks... worth a shot

sli 8800 512's is by no means a weak graphic solution, they are great in SLI.

if u can pick up another gts that would be great, otherwise get a core 216, they are pretty much as good as a gtx 280 anyway when overclocked.
