baah. NOW the gigabyte site says the rev.2 and even rev.1 board supports the Core™ 2 Extreme QX9650 .. which implies it would support e8400..

Just like you all said.

I doubt I could overclock the e6750 much, my rig is probably anathema to overclocking :P

Oh well, I'm not tooo bothered by this in the end.

Well this could only mean that we will be getting them very soon in the states. I'm thinking of going with an E8400 over a Q6600
