Here are my current spec's

2.8ghz processor.. its an intel pent 4.. not an AMD

1gb of ram

AGP motherboard

Ge-Force 6800GT OC

..

Now i want to upgrade my computer.. to atleast a 3.2-3.6ghz and 2gb of ram..

but im almost sure you'd need a pci-express motherboard in order to get the ghz that high..but my video card that i spent 400 dollars :( a few months back.. runs on AGP..

hopefully i can get a AGP up that high.. im not to sure.. im not really that smart when it comes down to the specs.. if thats possible thats awsome.. but now if its not..

is there anyway to send in my current card to Nvidia and have them send me a pci-express version of my card.. or no?!

thanks a lot!

I think you should still be able to get a board that will have an AGP slot that will run the higher end AMD chips. If not, you could always try selling the video card. I doubt Nvidia would exchange it though.

try this board - GIGABYTE GA-K8U-939 ATX AMD Motherboard

It will run any Athlon 64 FX/Athlon 64/Athlon X2 chip, and it has an AGP slot so you can still use your fancy new video card.
