which one is better : this Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards or the PQ5
i just like the fact that its DDR3 and crossfire.

Nah, DDR3 is only good for an i7 build, because Nehalem was designed for that kind of memory. The P5Q Pro supports Crossfire as well, stick with DDR2. There is only like a 2% performance difference between DDR2 and DDR3 with Core 2 Duo.

Yup, the DDR2 version is nice. Either P5Q Pro or UD3P, both are quality boards.

final question ...is that heatsink decent for Ocing or should i go with the ZALMAN CNPS9500 or the Rosewill RCX-Z775?
