Default Upgrade CPU and Video Card?

I am looking to upgrade my Video card and CPU (hopefully). I am not sure how to do it, but thats not why im here, i can find that all over the internet. what i need help with is finding out what would be the best purchase i can make without changing the rest of my computer. Here is what i have:


Motherboard:ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI (quad core conroe)
Memory: 4gb ddr2 667mhz

video: 8800 GTS 640mb PCI-E
CPU: intel core 2 duo e6600 2.4ghz (1066mhz front side bus)
Power:550W

If you aren't planning on running sli this HD 4870 is both cheaper and faster than the GTX 260.

A 650 Corsair would be plenty even for SLI/Xfire.

I ran the 680i, had 2 260s just to try and all the other jazz on a lowly 520hx.

Man, I moved up to a 700W so i could safely run sli 260s oc, and the extra pci-e plugs.

I'm pretty sure 650i's don't support 45nm quads.

Q6600's are great though, not so crappy at all.

Actually, Intel did something and crippled the oc potential of the newer q6600s.

Many can't get past 3.0 with ougt serious Vcore.
