okay so the evga should (note the "should") clock that high and then some.
like i said, i have two of them running at 580/875.
which translates to 580/1750.
it will do 550/800 (550/1600) easily most likely unless you get a lemon

well hopefully the auction doesnt go too high, otherwise its not worth it.
I could be patient and wait for the 7900gs's to come back in stock.

The thought of buy an EVGA model was simply a suggestion if you needed the card fast rather then any long wait? You will have decide on which one will work the best for you there. It doesn't even have to be an EVGA. That was a quick reference since you are already running an older model.

well if the bfg will perform better, id rather wait since it will be cheaper in the end after the rebate.
And I've heard BFG is better than eVGA.

BFG sees a faster core and memory clock on most models over EVGA while both are good makes. MSI and Sapphire also make some good cards to consider. But if you are going to wait it won't be nothing there.

It means you are set on waiting for the BFG model to come in rather then go after one of the others. That's the better model for performance over the EVGA and others.
