Default upgrade to 8800

i have an x1950XT, but im thinking of upgrading to an 8800GTS soon. ive kinda screwed my ati card, although it hasn't really shown. was moving a fan around on top of the card and forgot about the whole "metal conducts electricity" thing. either way it hasn't done too badly since then, but its crashed a few times, and the fan whistles really annoyingly.

anyway, i have a 20" widescreen, and if im going to upgrade to an 8800GTS, is it worth me getting the 640MB or 320MB version? also apart from the newegg, wheres the cheapest price i can get one? i saw on Ebuyer - Cheap Computers, Laptops, Digital Cameras, TVs & more! that it was about 180 for the cheapest one.

Newegg is a US only site.

This is the cheapest 640MB (which you'll be wanting for a 20" screen if you want the highest settings in games) from overclockers.co.uk

Leadtek GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

Then again you'd probably get by on a 320MB, is the resolution 1280x1024?
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 320MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

I was told that the 2900 Pro kills a GTS, and it's about the same price.

Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK

Thats the one I found, however I don't know anything about the manufacturer on whether they are actually any good.
