i have an asus eax850xt platinum ed pci-e card and im having problems updating the new catalyst drivers. it says theres an error and that i gotta install my original video drivers???? even when i downloaded the newest file from ati.com it still displayed the same messege when i tried installing the drivers from the cd the card came with. what should i do??

i need help!!! i dont feel like spending $600 on a 7900gtx superclocked card when all i need to do is update my drivers for my ati so i can play FEAR with the graphics set on high....hercules_upw

Have you tried uninstalling the video card and reinstalling via the hardware manager?

Did you remember to uninstall your old drivers before installing the new ones? ATI should have a nifty little tool that helps you with this.
