Default Ultra X-Connect 500W good?

I posted earlier on the boards regarding building a budget gaming pc. I want to know if the Ultra X-Connect 500W psu is a good buy or not. I can get it brand new for $20 so is it worth my time or is it a waste of money?

Waste of money at any price. One of our members (Ste, I believe) has had one render their system totally useless.

Any PSU that is similar to them X-Connect PSUs are a complete waist of money for several reasons.

Ok..thanks. Are there any good case/psu combos that aren't too expensive? Or a seperate psu and case that wouldn't be too pricey?

That's wierd. I have a 600 watt Ultra PSU and it runs great. It looks nice too. It's designed to run 24/7.

I haven't had any power issues at all.

You saw it at Fry's right? I would consider it atleast a mid range PSU for the money.
