Where are you getting those prices?
The Raptor 74gig is only 140$ after rebates on newegg
What psu are you getting?
Get DDR1, DDR2 wont work..
Lol is the 180$ soundcard up here the same as this 80$ one?

I can't buy off newegg - I live in Australia, so these are Aussie prices and that explains why they're 100x more expensive than they should be, lol.

However I'll check out that soundcard. Thanks.

As for the sondcard, I've decided to go with this cheaper model: http://www.techbuy.com.au/products/4...gy_2_Value.asp

Is it worth downgrading to somethnig like that - will I notice any difference?

Oh lol, sorry, I was really tired
It all makes sense now, yes the value is a good product, but the vanilla audigy2 will perform better.
Your choice - More money or better performance

wait, maybe im mistaken but i heard that athlons are not compatable with DDR2? or is that only certain CPU's?
Also why would you do 4x512 instead of 2x1024?
