SLI and dual core cards are overpriced, not worth their price, and age fast.

Your best bet is to stick with a nicely valued single card such as the 7600GT, 7800GT or 7900GT.

so would you say that it would be wiser just to get a single slot mother board or would u say get the sli mother board but just run one card

Lol $800. You can get two 7800GT's for about $500 now.

Yeah, I saw a review for that card, and they said that you would probably be better off going with two 7800GTs. That card does very well in Doom 3 though, over 100 FPS on all high settings, highest resolution. I also heard that it is a pain in the *** to install, seeing as the cooling for it is so huge. The external power supply is a bit weird too.
