Question Trouble with SATA and TV Tuner cards

im builing a htpc and am just wanting to know if anyone has had problems with SATA interfearing with the pic / tv signal from tv cards and when changed to IDE there are no problems is it the type of card or just the setup
any replies would be of help

never heard of anything like that. so you have confirmed it is the SATA card by trying without the card and using an IDE drive. i guess it could be interference based on the various frequencies the card/SATA would use but i don't think so. where is your antenna positioned?

i have been told about this but a mate who has build over half a donzen htpc s and he has always had problems with it i just dont want to go down that road on my first one

its an outdoor anttena on roof

heres a list of componets im going to use

silverstone lc16m case
silenx case fans
intel core 2 duo e6600 2.4ghz
thermaltake big typhoon cl- p0114 cpu heat sink
silenx cpu fan
g.skill pc6400 2 gb ddr2 ram
3 x segate 320gb sata hardrives
pioneer 111 dvd drive
dvico fusion hdtv dual digital tv card
asus en7600gtsln silent 256mb graphics card
and not sure yet on the motherboard

just wondering if u could forsee any problems with the about set up and thanks for ur
