DFI nF4 SLI-DR
X2 4800+
eVGA 7800GTX 512MB maybe 2 if you have the money
2GB OCZ el platinum ram
74GB*raptor for fast loading times in raid 0
thermaltake soprano case, its just my personal perference
Antec truepower 550W power supply
couple of case fans
CNPS9500 for the cpu so you can try out the overclocking

why the 4200+??

Complete waste of money buying 2 7800gtx 512mb's. One will do you just fine. Otherwise this looks good and the rest he can spend on 2 monitors. (if theres any money left)

approx price 3320

Heres what I would do with that list above:

-Go with the toledo for the extra cache.

-$750 is too much for a video card. Esp when the other one there is $300 less. Get the evga 7800gtx 256mb and then add another to your expensive SLI board later. But its up to you. If you want the best card on the market get the BFG...

That mboard only supports up to ddr400 (pc3200), so i believe it wont have any benefit having the 4000 ram. It wont hurt anything though.

NICE power supply.
