Default Time for a new monitor but what to get?

I need to get another monitor and I guess I have to get an LCD because thats all that is available thesse days. So Im thinking a 19 inch lcd would do. I am an avid gamer and watch alot of movies on my computer so media and gaming performance is very important. I have been looking and there are so many factors on buying an LCD monitor I cant decide what to get. Can some one help me decide.

I wouldn't say Dell has the best LCDs, they have good LCDs (especially their 30in" LCD). How much money are you willing to spend on the monitor?

I've been finding good prices and good quality Samsung LCDs lately.

I would look into the Samsung SyncMaster 193P+, more specifically. Locally they go for $450 CAD, although I didnt find one on newegg (weird).

Anywho, super-nice monitor: 8ms response time, 1000:1 contrast, etc.

Well I ordered a dell 1907fp and I thought it was junk. I sent it back. I would like to keep it under $400. But if I have to spend more to get something good I will.
