Not a huge difference if you're playing at lower resolutions. 1680x1050 is fine with 512mb. Anything higher you'd probably want 1 gig.

Since you were going to spend 129 you might aswell get the 4850 1gb for less

for the same price as a gts250 or 9800gtx you could also get a 4770 or a 4870.
