Default Thoughts on bfg gts250

Hey guys... I'm looking for a second card for my folding rig and thought a gts250 would be a good fit.

This is the card:
Newegg.com - BFG Tech BFGEGTS2501024OCE GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

And I can get it at Fry's for $99 after rebate.

Thoughts?

paton and kmote are making me jealous with their ppd... I must beat them!

LOL..

Wow....$99 seems like a steal....BFG is a great company...make sure you register the card as soon as you receive it and they have a hassel free lifetime warranty, if you do that.

Yep, that'll work I have heard some "interesting" things about using two cards with different numbers of shaders or something....

how about you just donate one of your 250's i'll pay shipping lol

i will have to look up on the shader thing. would definitely not want to buy if it will cause problems alongside my 9800gt..

The new cores eliminate the shader bthing, though my 8800gt and 8600gts ran full ppd.

Maybe look for an 9800gtx+ Same card old name... though it'll most likely need 2 pci-es
