Peter go on their site and hit store location and it'll pull up directions.

Ricoh the batch number tells you where it was made,year,week,lot and serialization code.

edit found this:

1st letter or digit = plant code
0 = San Jose, Costa Rica
1 = Cavite, Philippines
3 = .............., Costa Rica
6 = Chandler, Arizona
7 = .........., Philippines
8 = Leixlip, Ireland
9 = Penang, Malaysia
L = ............, Malaysia
Q = ..........., Malaysia
R = Manila, Philippines
Y = Leixlip, Ireland

2nd digit = Year of production

3rd & 4th digits = week

5th - 8th digits= lot number

10th - 13th digits = serialization code

May i ask you why you need to know that? other than year of production.

My q6600 was made in malaysia, is that bad? on 04-24-2008
 
To tell if the thing is G0 or not...

it is... and it doesn't matter where the CPU was made... just the company and the Model..

because certain batches have really good VIDs, overclock better. And I didn't want to blindly pick one. So I researched for an older batch that had good VIDs. Knowing microcenter has a bunch in stock and noone goes there to pick out certain batches, I knew I could find an older batch. Supposedly the one I picked out has a 1.200 VID. Whether it's true or not I won't know until next week, but it sure is better than picking one and hoping.

Edit: Ricoh in the end I just want a better chance of getting a good overclocking cpu.
