We are talking about the 8800GT having 128 shaders right?

Should I just buy an eVGA and possibly step up?

Or should Ir eally wait for the ATI? I keep hearing mixed reviews.

plus if I order from newegg I can return within 30 days right?

ya.. the 8800 gt's now don't hvae 128 sp's.. they only have like 112 or something like that.. i think it was 112

and if your in no rush.. i'd wait for ati.. cuz even if ati's is better or worse.. there will definitely be a price war

Im praying for a price war. well only if the ultra is included. If I can grab a decent buy on another one i'll be happy till the 9 series is released. Maybe a while after XD

That is not the point though, ATI is still very much so in the game. They're the first to 55nm and they are DX10+, and the prices are supposed to be great.

DX10.1 is just a minor upgrade of DX10

ATI was the first company to make 65nm video cards like HD2600, but HD2600 performs worse than 80nm Nvidia 8600 series

If 80nm Nvidia beats 65nm ATI, then there is a big chance that Nvidia 65nm might beat ATI 55nm

The 3800 series comes out in exactly 2 weeks and will destroy the GT

Proof ? Benchmarks ?

You are the biggest ATI fanboy I ever saw

HD3800 is just like HD2900 with 55nm die shrink, and 256 BIT memory interface (instead of 512BIT memory interface used in HD2900)

8800GT outperforms HD2900XT, and from the specs it seems that HD3800 is not that better than HD2900. So, I don't think that HD3800 is going to be better than 8800GT and the new G92 based 8800GTS

Please wait for benhmarks before you make some prejudges
