Default is there a radeon 6000 series equivalent to this?

i wanted to buy my gaming computer and was saving up for about a year, when i went to buy i could not find a single store or site that sold the Radeon HD 5870 for anything under 300...i was just wondering if there was an equivalent or greater to this graphics card for less than $300

The 6950 will be a great option, and after faster than the 5870. Some 2GB versions (maybe all 2GB versions, not positive) are able to unlock to a 6970. Expect to spend ~$250+

Graphics Performance List

The 5870 is #10 on the list. The 6870 is #12. The 6950, 6970, 5970, and 6990 are all more powerful than the 5870.

I found this one for you:
