Thats pretty much the standard going price on forums, i mean theyre as cheap as $130-$140 new now.

Now is a great time to spring for a SLI 8800GT setup (provided you have the board).

No they're all garbage.

For some reason you never see the amount of variation between ATi card manu's versus Nvidia ones.

They don't release non reference cards, they don't offer warranties longer than a year, and they only sell cards with red pcbs... *******s.

So the bottom line is no, they are all basically the same.

Alright going for the 8800 GT then.

Thanks.

I hope to hopefully overclock it, So all the extra stream processors or whatever from ATI are not worth it? or noticeable?

There is a noticeable difference in performance between the 8800gt and the 4850. Here is a review of the 4850 with benchmarks comparing it to the 8800gt.

AnandTech: The Radeon HD 4850 & 4870: AMD Wins at $199 and $299

I think he wants the 8800gt because its a $100 but thats the 256mb version

so it'll be a little slower than the 8800gt showed there
