Switching CPU Fans?

Hey i was wondering if i install a CPU on a mother board using the retail fan and then later want to upgrade the fan will there be any problems?

with the intel q6600 kentsfield.

plan on installing with oem fan and upgrading later.

No problem that I can think of. I switched my stock q6600 fan to the Tuniq a few weeks ago. Works like a charm. Just remove the old paste and put on the new.

yep...should be really easy. Just make sure your thermal paste doesnt pull your processor off in the process....(not like i havent done that)

If you havent bought the tuniq yet, look at the thermalright ultra 120, its a lot easier to mount and cools better than the tuniq. You'll be cursing the thumbscrews on the tuniq.

you shouldnt have any problems but you will have to take out the motherboard to install the back plate
