Default Switching from ATI to NVIDIA

Probably going to reformat (again) as I have had major issues with my new 290x, so I traded it in for a 970 (shut up and take my money nvidia).

So, just looking for some advice as to what order I should do everything, like should I uninstall drivers, reboot the pc with the nvidia gpu and reformat etc etc.

Thanks.

Well if you're planning on reformatting/reinstalling Windows...no point in removing the old drivers. Just plug the new GPU in, reinstall Windows, and install the drivers from nVidia's site.

However..if you're not gonna reinstall Windows...then use this tool: Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 14.3.0.0

Okay thanks.

Any idea if the gtx 970 is compatible with my GA-P67-DS3-B3 mobo? Tried googling but can't seem to find any info.

Yes, just make sure you put it in the top slot so it has full-bandwidth.

Okay.

Reason I ask is because of the endless bsod's with the 290x. Wondered maybe if it was the mobo. I bought a new PSU specifically for it so it wasn't that.
